BSNL settings

BSNL does not provide GPRS settings for all androids phone like Samsung galaxy S (as per 2012). In order to use your GPRS in an android follow the steps. If you want to use 3G, you need to follow these steps.
Step 1
First of all let’s try whether we can get the settings. In order to get the settings type your phone’s model number and send it to 58355
Eg: NOKIA 5350
    SAMSUNG SGH-5585
Step 2
If you are getting the message as ‘not supported or wrong format’, you need not worry. You can create it manually (applicable for all models). But I will be illustrating with the steps for android phones.
Step 3
Go to settings then select wireless and network then go to Mobile networks, choose Access points then select create APN
Change the following
Name: bsnlnet (you can give any name you wish)
APN: bsnlnet
Keep all the other options unchanged
Then save it
But this will not give your phone the maximum potential of the network.
Step 4
You can try sending the closest model number that is supported by BSNL like if you phone is Samsung android you can send SAMSUNG i710 or the model number of Wave 2 or Galaxy Y
Step 4
Enjoy the internet……
